What to expect at a POA show?

Show Fees:
Class Fee $10 , All Day Fee $75 for 8 or more classes
Grounds Fee: $10 for members / $15 for non-members
Late Entry fee: $20
National fee (POAs only): $7 per pony/exhibitor combo
Age groups are determined by the exhibitors age on January 1st
Participants must choose the W/T or the W/T/L classes, entry in both types of classes with the same pony/rider combination is NOT allowed.

POA shows are filled with lots of hard work, fun, and memories.  Each show begins with Halter classes and Horsemanship.
Then riders can jump on their horses for Bareback, English, Western, and of course...

 Speed classes!

Proper attire is required for all classes.
Western attire required includes: hat or helmet, belt, long sleeved collared shirt, long pants, and boots.

Speed events require a helmet but short-selves are allowed.
English attire requires breeches or jodpurs, paddock boots (with half chaps or garters) or your choice of tall boots, helmet, show shirt, and jacket. (make sure your shirt has sleeves in case the jackets are waived.

POA shows are unique because we offer an assortment of fun classes.  POA has always prided themselves on being an all-round horse breed.  We offer Trail, Jumping, Costume, Driving, Most Colorful, and many other

great classes.
Unlike in other breeds when you need a different horse for every class, we encourage participates to enter all classes using the same horse, because did we mention Year-End and Show-End High Point Awards?

To win a High Point Award you need to participate in at least three of the four Utah shows.  You must also be a Utah club member.

(This helps us give really good awards at the end of year!)
Awards are given per age group AND per age group/event category.
